FIRAS is a third party certification scheme for businesses that install both passive and active fire protection solutions.

B&K Fire Protection is a registered FIRAS installer company, which means we have undertaken a three stage assessment to gain certification. This encompasses the following:

Demonstrate continuing compliance with industry standards and material/product manufacturer installation instructions.

Undergo random inspections of our installation work on ongoing contracts by a registered FIRAS inspector.

Receive an annual audit of our office systems to ensure compliance with FIRAS standards is maintained.

Employ on a permanent/contract basis supervisors and operators whose technical and practical competence is

assessed by FIRAS registered inspectors in our certified trade disciplines - set out below.

Keep a register of competent employees and review regularly to ensure we maintain a workforce whose

abilities remain current with the work scope B&K Fire Protection provides.

FIRAS is a voluntary, third party certification for installation contractors of both
passive and active (sprinkler) fire protection systems, operated by Warrington Certification and accredited by UKAS to EN45011.
